Singer Salman Ahmad arrested from Imran Khan’s residence in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD – Salman Ahmad, famous Pakistani singer and an active member of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf, was arrested and later released on Friday, local media reported.

He was arrested from outside Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence. Video footage showed the singer being dragged by Islamabad police into a police van.

Just before his arrest, Ahmed had tweeted, “Getting ready for Jazba Junoon.”


Salman’s arrest comes as PTI and Awami Muslim League (AML) workers clashed with police at Rawalpindi’s Committee Chowk near the Lal Haveli residence of Sheikh Rasheed.



Police fired teargas shells at Committee Chowk to disperse the party workers from gathering following the imposition of Section 144 in the twin cities.

Law enforcers laid siege to the Bani Gala residence of Imran Khan late Thursday night hours after a crackdown was launched against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters. The opposition party responded by announcing nationwide protests against what it called ‘terrorism’ of the government.

Police detained dozens of PTI workers – including women – for violating Section 144 which the administration had imposed in the morning. Television footage showed police scuffling with Imran’s supporters before bundling them into prison vans and whisking them away.

PTI has been prepping up for its Islamabad lockdown show on November 2 over the issue of Panama leaks which detailed offshore companies of ruling Sharif family members. PTI also holds PM Nawaz Sharif and his family members responsible for rising corruption in the country, a claim PML-N (the ruling party) denies.

The federal and Punjab governments, led by the Pakistan Muslim League, has already decided to be tough with any kind of agitation in the twin cities.

Salman Ahmad has performed in PTI public gatherings several times since the party started its mass-level public contact campaign months before 2013 general elections.

An active member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Salman believes in PTI’s call for bringing justice and accountability in the corridors of powers.

Sheikh Rasheed on Friday arrived at Committee Chowk by moving in narrow streets on motorbike to supervise the protest held against the detention of party workers.

Talking to the participants while sitting on the roof of a DSNG van, Sheikh Rasheed said he has fulfilled his promise by reaching the rally venue.

He claimed that more than 450 workers have been apprehended so far while he has also challenged the government to come and arrest him.

“Sea of people will flood Islamabad on November 2 as we want accountability from the Prime Minister”, he added.

AML chief said that people have proven that they don’t recognize Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government. He also alleged that Intelligence Bureau personnel are arresting political workers in civilian dress.

Later, Sheikh Rasheed left the scene after talking to media.

On the other hand, the local administration has decided to not arrest AML chief despite anti-government speech.

اسلامی سال کی ابتدا یعنی ماہِ محرم  میں شادی یا منگنی کرنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے، اور نہ ہی یہ مکروہ یا محرم ہے، اسکے متعدد دلائل ہیں، جن میں سے چند یہ ہیں:

1-            جس چیز کے بارے میں کوئی مخصوص  حکم نہ ہو تو  وہ کام اصل کے اعتبار سے مباح ہوتا ہے، اور علمائے کرام کے مابین یہ متفق علیہ قاعدہ ہے کہ عادات  میں  جب تک حرمت کی دلیل نہیں ملتی تو اصل جواز ہی ہے، چنانچہ  کتاب  وسنت ، اجماع، یا قیاس ، اور آثار  وغیرہ میں ایسی کوئی بات نہیں ملتی  جو ماہِ محرم میں نکاح وغیرہ سے مانع ہو، اس لئے اباحتِ اصلیہ کی بنا پر ماہِ محرم میں نکاح جائز  ہے۔

2-            اس بارے میں علمائے کرام کا کم از کم اجماعِ سکوتی ہے، کہ ہمیں صحابہ کرام، تابعین، ائمہ کرام  اور انکے علاوہ دیگر متقدمین یا متاخرین میں سے کوئی بھی  ایسا عالم نہیں  ملا جو اس ماہ میں شادی ، بیاہ، اور منگنی کو حرام یا کم از کم مکروہ ہی سمجھتا ہو۔

لہٰذا اگر کوئی منع  کرتا ہے تو اسکی تردید کیلئے اتنا ہی کافی ہے کہ اسکے پاس کوئی دلیل نہیں ہے، اور علمائے کرام میں سے کوئی بھی اسکے موقف  کا قائل نہیں ہے۔

3-            ماہِ محرم اللہ تعالی کے عظمت والے مہینوں میں سے ایک ماہ ہے، اور اس کے بارے میں نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم  کا فرمان ہے کہ: (رمضان کے بعد افضل ترین روزے  اللہ تعالی کے مہینے محرم کے ہیں) مسلم: (1163)

تو یہ ایک ایسا مہینہ ہے جس کی نسبت اللہ تعالی نے اپنی طرف فرمائی ہے۔ اس ماہ میں نفل روزوں کا ثواب دیگر مہینوں سے زیادہ ہے، اس لئے اس ماہ کی برکت، اور فضیلت پانے کیلئے پوری کوشش کرنی چاہیے، چنانچہ  اس ماہ میں غمگین رہنا، یا شادی کرنے سے ہچکچانا، یا  جاہلی دور کی طرح بد فالی لینا سب غلط ہے
 اور اگر کوئی شیعہ حضرات کی طرح اس مہینے میں شادی کی ممانعت  کیلئے دلیل حسین رضی اللہ عنہ  کی شہادت  کو بنائے ، تو اسے کہا جائے گا:

بلا شک و شبہ حسین رضی اللہ عنہ کی شہادت کا دن  تاریخ اسلامی میں بہت ہی تاریک دن ہے، لیکن اس عظیم سانحے کی وجہ سے شادی یا منگنی کو حرام کر دینے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے، کیونکہ ہماری شریعت میں سالانہ برسی وغیرہ کے موقعوں پرغم تازہ کرنے  اور سوگ منانےکی اجازت نہیں ہےاور نہ ہی یہ کہ ان دنوں میں خوشی کا اظہار کرنا منع ہے۔

اگر اس بات پر وہ اتفاق  نہ کریں تو ہمیں یہ پوچھنے کا حق بنتا ہے کہ : کیا جس دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم  فوت ہوئے وہ دن امت کیلئے سب سے غمگین دن نہیں ہے؟! تو پھر مکمل ماہِ ربیع الاول میں شادی کرنا منع کیوں نہیں کرتے؟! یا اس ماہ میں شادی بیاہ کی حرمت یا کراہت صحابہ کرام سے منقول کیوں نہیں ہے؟ یا نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم  کی آل  و اولاد اور انکے بعد آنے والے علمائے کرام سے منقول کیوں نہیں ہے؟!

اگر ہمارا یہی حال رہا کہ جس دن بھی کوئی اسلامی شخصیت یا اہل بیت کا کوئی فرد فوت ہویا اسے شہید کیا گیا ہو، ہم ہر سال اس غم کو تازہ کرنے لگ جائیں، تو ہمارے لئے خوشی اور مسرت کا کوئی دن  باقی نہیں رہے گا، اور لوگوں کو ناقابل برداشت حد تک مشقت اٹھانی پڑے گی۔
